Playoffs
At the end of each season, every team will participate in our division playoffs. This will start at the end of May and end with “Championship day” which is typically held on Father’s Day. The winning teams will then go on to play at Provincials which are held the following week.
Provincials
Every division from Peanut to Junior including the females will send their winning team from Championship Day to the Provincials. This is typically held on the July 1st long weekend and is hosted by one of the local associations.
WCC
WCC is the Western Challenge Cup and was created in 1999 to provide a tournament for skilled minor ball hockey players to compete against other teams from the Western provinces. The tournament is over a four day period during the middle of July. Age groups are U11, U13, U15, U17 and U19. Players are by invite only and the final team selection is decided by the coaches and the Metro executive.
CBHA Junior Nationals
The junior nationals take place annually across the country, with the 2023 Jr. Nationals set to take place in Newfoundland. At the 2022 Jr. Nationals in Winnipeg, Metro had many players representing their province. More information about how to play for TeamBC at the next national championship will become available later in the season.
