Volunteers – The Heart of Metro

Metro Minor Ball Hockey Association is run by its many dedicated volunteers. We are always in need for more helpers to keep the club effective and vibrant. Volunteering doesn’t always require a long term commitment, sometimes we need extra helpers for a couple of hours.

Please email us at volunteer@metroballhockey.ca with your name and your player’s division if there is a job that you’d be interested in helping with. No experience is necessary and teenagers are welcome to help out too.

Below is a brief description of the jobs. Many of the roles can be shared with another person.

Metro Female Ball Hockey 2024

Minor Ball Hockey associations are excited to build on having two female BC teams at Canadian Junior National 2019. We are excited to let you know that in partnership, Metro, Delta, Valley, Maple Ridge, Richmond, Surrey, Tri-City and Victoria are offering a Female only Program.

For Female 2024 teams for players age group 2004 to 2014 for Metro and surrounding areas  you can register TeamSnap Registration

With the female-only program we hope to have:

  • Different divisions to match up with a player’s skill and experience levels (beginner to advanced)
  • Female only skill development opportunities
  • Games throughout the season
  • Fun events, such as a Female Jamboree
  • Opportunities for high-level players to participate at the Western Challenge Cup 2024
  • Female teams represented at the Canadian Juniors Nationals in Saskatoon

Note: Female players now have several options:

  • play in the co-ed program only (regular fee)
  • play in the female program only (Lowest Division Cost)
  • play in both (Co-Ed Team fee only)

Help us grow the sport of female ball hockey by spreading the word and encouraging some of your friends to join this season.
